CHRISTINE DiTHOMAS is photographic artist whose work reflects an interest in the phenomenology of memory. What we choose to remember/what we choose to forget and what we cannot remember/what we cannot forget are thought processes that arise from associations we make to objects, environs, and ephemera. DiThomas hopes to experience as well as elicit memory responses from others through her work.

Selected exhibitions include University of Tennessee Downtown Gallery, Knoxville; Herron School of Art, IUPUI, Indianapolis; Hyde Park Art Center, Schopf Gallery, and Zolla-Lieberman Gallery, Chicago; G.A.S.P., Boston; and Bridge ArtFair Miami.

Publications include Practice:Photograpy, Mementos, a 6×6 Series photography book, and Mouth-to-Mouth, Muse, and Performance Research (UK) magazines. She was awarded two City of Chicago CAAP grants and received an MFA from Columbia College Chicago, where she previously taught color darkroom as an adjunct faculty member.
